Sazka Arena is a multipurpose building with a 35.000 m2 floor space built especially for the world championships, and it can hold as many as 18,000 visitors.

The Sazka Arena is also used for exhibitions, fairs and concerts. For concerts, Gradior group has built two stages that can be moved onto the ice. The scenery is normally kept under the galleries, and moved onto the ice using an air bearing system delivered by Solving. The system includes air compressors, an air supply system and carpets that are put onto the ice when moving the scenery.

The main advantage with using an air film system in this case is that it is a simple, fast and safe solution. The movement of scenery, weighing 11 tonnes each, onto the ice can be performed by two people in about 10 minutes.
